Hello to you who are reading these lines and thank you !!! I advise you to start by reading the articles on the site before reading the blog. To understand and have the keys, it is necessary!
The site is articulated in several chapters which increase in the description and the complexity of the explanation to understand what dissociation is:
The chapter "to understand" explains who I am and what dissociation is in a basic way.
Then the chapter "to read further" gives the scientific bases and the psychological data and knowledge, the theory.
The chapter "care: in practice" goes more into the concrete explanation, with examples, of what it is to live with a dissociative identity disorder.
"Le coin des ...": aimed at relatives and professionals. "And justice": very brief point on the law.
"Resources": brings together all the external resources that I find interesting and helpful in understanding dissociation or the consequences of violence on a child.
Once you have read the first 3 chapters ("to understand", "to go further" and "care in practice"), you will be able to understand what dissociation is and you can read the pages of my blog.
My blog is divided into 4 parts:
"Daily": a place where each of my dissociative parts is expressed in an individual and singular way, telling from day to day his struggle, his fears, his progress, his objectives, his experience, his sufferings ... To show you to how each dissociative part has its own vision of things, its lived history and its survival goals.
"Advice": a place where my dissociative parties collaborate to give tips for families, relatives or professionals concerning our care and help to bring us.
"Resources": a section where I share with you films, books, videos, websites ... all the external resources that I find, watch or read concerning dissociation or which help me to feel better or to understand myself. It can be positive or negative. I give you my point of view, sometimes a little rant ... because unfortunately there are few reliable or exact resources on dissociation ...
"Part System": In this section, my dissociative parts collaborate and we talk about ourselves, our progress as a unified group. These texts are therefore more elaborate and show an overview of my functioning, our healing goals.
This website is the personal tesitmony of a person with DID. It is there for informational purposes and cannot replace therapeutic monitoring. I am not a therapist or a lawyer. I am a patient and i seek through this website to describe my own care journey, my day-to-day experience as a DID as well as my understanding of psychology, society, justice, dissociation and DID. What i write here is therefore a reflection of my progress and difficulties, my learning on my path of reconstruction and psychological healing. Each patient is unique, each psychological disorder is unique and i strongly encourage you to find psychological help by turning to a professional if you feel the need !
Good reading ! Don't hesitate to subscribe to the site and share it! Link to my facebook: leelah.tdi
