25/07/2020 The Patchwork Quilt

A nice children's book in English.

This book is a good way to teach our children under 6 what dissociation is and to start a dialogue to explain our dissociative identity disorder.

Pretty designs, a great story and simple and accurate explanations, I recommend it if you want to explain your DID to your young children.

It tells the story of a blanket that is torn apart by the wrong person, every piece of the blanket has a new function. But one of the pieces remembers that they were only one piece before and remembers the good times shared, and they become a quilt quilt. Then the author explains that this story is about her and the fact that it brings together all its dissociative parts.

A double page spread at the end of the book explains what structural personality dissociation is and what DID is.
