I am trying to understand how mental disorders are classified, and what are the criteria that will make one patient have a diagnosis rather than another.

There is still a lot of things that I do not understand given that certain symptoms can be present in several completely different diagnoses ...

For dissociative disorders, here is what the DSM V says (the following texts are taken from the DSM V) :

One important thing to know is that in DSM V the chapter on "dissociative disorders" is placed after the chapter on "trauma or stressor related disorders" to indicate the close relationship between these diagnoses.

I don't post testimonial videos because I can't find any satisfactory ones that can represent it authentically and objectively. I find that all those on the internet are very exaggerated or caricatured.
